About Our Products 
ADHD.
Research has shown that children, due to their size/weight ratio,
plus their being subjected to these carcinogens at such a young ages,
are affected even more than adults by the effects of pesticide and
herbicide use in growing food stuffs. All of which means that our
growing organically is important to you!
We are a small, family owned, business on the coast of Maine. Our
specialty is pain management without the harmful use of drugs.
We do alternative health consulting and can help you choose herbs and herbal products that can enhance your health, without the side effects of "pharmaceutical drugs".
Herbs are Farm Grown, and ethically wild crafted, in Coastal Downeast Maine. We use no pesticides, herbicides nor artificial fertilizers. Seaweed, cow patties, and the pure sparkling water from a deep artesian well are our growing allies.
There are some herbs from warmer climates which are used in our formulas. Since we are unable to grow them ourselves, they are purchased from small farms using organic methods. For optimum potency, our herbs are kept in their original state, whole, and complete. We do not process our herbs, for encapsulation, until an order has been placed. Keeping herbs in their whole form, keeps them at peak potency.
Herbs begin to oxidize soon after they are ground. This causes them to rapidly lose their potency. That is why we keep ours in their original form. The large companies grind and encapsulate their herbs and then store them in warehouses for months to years. Their products just cannot compare to "home grown" and "fresh"!

Every product in our catalog has been developed to "treat an
ailment", or fill a need, for family, friends and even our pets.
For instance when my husband was diagnosed with severe degenerative
disc disease, the "Pain Salve" was born!

Pain Management Program
This program is a combination of a lotion and a salve, for topical
application.
Pain Salve: This is to be used externally on the painful joints/areas.
Prewarming the area, such as a hot soak for the hands, thoroughly
drying them and then applying the salve should prove very helpful.
My mom uses it this way and wears a pair of cotton gloves to bed to
keep the heat in. She has wonderful relief from rheumatoid arthritis*
symptoms with this method. Another client, who, had found it necessary
to have his knees aspirated (they use a syringe) in order to drain
off excess fluid and then injected with cortisone, has been able to
forego the entire painful process just by using the Arthritis* Capsules
and the Pain Salve.
Pre-warm area, gently massage in the salve, cover with soft
flannel/fleece, etc., and keep warm. Very successful for low back
and arthritic type pain. Used continually, it helps to heal the area
because it brings the circulation back to the tissues.

When using the Pain Salve, Do not apply auxiliary heat as skin
irritation could result.
Fibromyalgia* Formula: A topical formula of mine which is
really helping to ease the pain of Fibromyalgia, arthritis, tendonitis,
even rheumatoid. It is applied a few drops at a time and gently massaged
into the painful area. The combination of the Fibromyalgia* Lotion
and the *Pain Salve, when used together, has proven, according
to latest medical testing, to work as well as some narcotics, without,
of course, any of those nasty side effects! For those who cannot
use capsaicin, we suggest our Extra Strength Fibromyalgia* Salve.
Just apply the Fibromyalgia* lotion three times, over a fifteen minute
time period, allow to penetrate after each application, and then apply
the *Pain Salve, or Extra Strength Fibromyalgia* Salve. Cover the area
with a soft cloth, i.e. wrap knees, elbows, joints, etc., when possible.
This will enhance the pain relieving effect of the herbs. Many clients
do this just before bedtime and find blessed relief from pain all
through the night!

Why Fresh Plant Tinctures
Scientific testing has shown that fresh plant tinctures contain
a much
higher percentage of active medicinal constituents. We process
our fresh herbs, on site, to insure that our tinctures have the
highest possible potency.
We grow our herbs, nurturing them with natural fertilizers
and filtered water, until the perfect moment for harvest. Then
we gently hand pick flowers, leaves, etc., to be tinctured immediately.
We create our tinctures when the life force of the plant is at
its, peak. Being a small family run business makes this possible
and feasible. Large operations just cannot compete in this area.

Astragalus Root
Astragalus is particularly stimulating to the immune system.
In cases where chemotherapy, and/or radiation is in use, Astragalus
can help to offset the side effects. It helps to boost the "T"
cells and is also useful as a toning diuretic in kidney inflammation.
It is perfectly safe to take on a daily basis to enhance your
immune system. Many local Mom's are using 10 drops per day,
per child, and preventing everything from common colds to ear
infections. These are happy, healthy, children who
formerly spent a good part of our harsh Maine winters, with
runny noses and ear infections!
Blueberry
The blueberry, one of the three native American fruits, has been
proven by Tufts University researchers to be one of natures best
anitoxidents. It is used to enhance night vision, help regulate
blood sugar levels, and retard the physical effects of aging such
as decling memory and cognative skills. In some cases it has been
known to actually reverse failing memory.
Calendula Flowers
This beautiful flower has so many curative powers that we would
have to write a book to list them all. Most folks use them
for PMS and Menopausal symptoms, as well as relief of gallbladder
problems and digestive complaints. WE have used them in
a special tea to reverse "Bacterial Vaginitis", after
allopathic medicine had failed. One client had been using
conventional medicine, with recurrent infections for over a year,
before using our tea. After using our formula she was symptom
free, in one week. There has been no return of the infection!
In Germany, expressed juice from the calendula is used in ovarian
and uterine cancer therapy.
Comfrey Root
This herb is known as "COMFREY THE COMFORTER" in our
house. Following is only one instance when Comfrey "saved
the day", or in this case, the finger!! My husband, Paul,
dropped a 600 pound electric generator on his thumb in the course
of his work. He could not, (translate would not!), go to the E.
Ward, for treatment. I had to do something as it was a real sorry
sight! I got out my trusty bottle of Comfrey Tincture, added some
to warm water and got him to soak it. This finger, which did not
even resemble anything human after being mashed by the 600 LB
generator, stopped hurting after a few minutes in the soak. It
helped so much, that Paul, actually prepared the soak and used
it several times per day over the next week. Today, the fingernail
has grown back and you would never know there had been such a
massive injury. Paul now plants Comfrey "anywhere" he
can find a spot! Comfrey is also known as knit bone, as it helps
injuries to heal so quickly and speedily relieves pain. It can
be used as a compress quite easily by putting tablespoon into
a pint of warm water and soaking a cloth in the liquid. Apply
this to any place on the body where you have sustained an injury,
such as a sprain, bruising, etc.
Echinacea Purpurea Root
HELP FOR CHRONIC EAR INFECTIONS!!! This herb is anti-viral and
anti-microbial. Taken at the first sign of a cold or flu it can
help to "stop the bug in its tracks".My grandson, "Punkin",
had been suffering with ear infections since he was an infant.
He had fluid filled ears on a continual basis. When he started
to talk, he sounded as though he was gargling! Upon taking him
to a speech therapist she told us he was mimicking what he heard.
He heard that way due to the continual problem of fluid in his
ears. He was hearing as though he was under water!! A couple of
days before my grandson's scheduled "tube" operation,
my daughter decided to give my herbs a try. She gave him Echinacea
tincture and put the Calendula/St. Johnswort Ear Oil to work.
Today he's ten years old, and needless to say, never had the "tubes"
put in, nor has he been on any more antibiotics.
Lobelia
ANTI-ASTHMATIC - Expectorant, and respiratory stimulant. It is
very useful in bronchitic asthma and bronchitis. It can help to
calm spasms and open passages. A few drops taken in water is often
all that is needed to interrupt an episode. The tincture can be
applied externally as well, a few drops on the sternum and several
drops applied along the spine, can help to allay an attack. This
is a potent tincture, several drops are all that is needed.
Red Clover
This herb is very useful as part of an anti-tumor program. It
is also very useful in chronic skin conditions, such as eczema
and psoriasis. It is traditionally combined with the "Ojibwa
Herbal Tea" in cancer therapy.
Scullcap
This herb is a member of the Mint family. According to some folks
the beautiful flowers of this plant look like miniature skulls.
Hence, the odd name. Scullcap is a wonderful, gentle, nervine,
tonic, hypotensive (lowers blood pressure), and antispasmodic.
It is very useful for nervous tension, PMS, conditions involving
seizures, such as epilepsy and hysteria. Combined with Valerian
and St. Johnswort, it helped folks to forego Prozac.
St. Johnswort
This is a gentle but powerful anti-viral, analgesic, anti-inflammatory
and ANTI-DEPRESSANT. St. Johnswort has a sedative and pain reducing
effect. It has been used to control staph and even HIV viral strains.
St. Johnswort has been used for growths, nerve pain control in
sciatica, neuralgia, rheumatism and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,
and even helped to put a stop to bed wetting.
Usnea
This herbal "ANTIBIOTIC", has been reported to be even
more powerful than penicillin against some bacteria. It is very
useful in urinary, respiratory and gastrointestinal tract infections.
It may be more effective than Flagyl with NONE of the side effects.
A dropperful in a pint of water can be used as a douche for trichomonas.
Uva Ursi
This is a wonderful urinary antiseptic for bladder
and kidney inflammation. It is also considered a broad range
remedy for diabetes, liver and spleen problems, kidney stones,
(it helps to break them up to allow elimination), bed wetting
and mucous discharges.
