Our products are pure, simple, and all natural, just like our Maine Coast Herbals. We do not add fillers, or ingredients such as bismuth oxychloride (a known allergen), fragrance, talc, or refined products.

This make line has been designed especially for women/men with sensitive skin. It works very well for those with problem skin such as rosacea, acne, etc.

Our makeup is water and perspiration resistant. If you should get caught in the rain just pat your skin dry and the makeup, for the most part, will be as fresh as when first applied.

Mineral Makeup Tips and Tricks

FOUNDATION:
Foundations are easy to apply. Tap a tiny bit of your mineral foundation into the cover. Swirl your brush into the minerals, tap off any excess on the edge of the lid with the bristles pointed upward. This will settle the powders into the bristles. Beginning at the jaw line, buff the minerals onto your skin in a circular motion while applying a gentle pressure. Starting at the center of your face can cause powders to settle into lines and creases. Continue applying light layers until you achieve satisfactory coverage. If you apply heavy layers the makeup will look caked. If there are still a few spots that need covering just take your concealer brush (I use the shiskabuki), and apply the concealer to those areas.

Foundation can be worn alone or with mineral veil if you desire a more polished look. It also helps to set your makeup and keep it looking fresh all day.

Mineral Veil:

Our veils come in several shades:
Neutral - one shade suits most
Medium - a bit more color for those of us with medium toned skin

Pink Veil - adds a tiny bit of glow, barely noticeable, but very nice indeedApplication: Tap a tiny bit of the veil into the cover, swirl your powder or kabuki brush into the minerals, tap of excess as described above, and apply lightly over your foundation, blush, etc. This gives a flawless finish and keeps makeup fresh all day. I would never go without my veil, I absolutely love the look!

Blushes:

These are applied the same way as our foundations and veils. Just tap a few grains into the cover, tap off excess to settle powder into bristles. Apply to cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, shoulders, as desire, swirling in a circular motion. Start with a light touch; you can always apply more to deepen the blush.

BRONZERS & HIGHLIGHTERS:

Application: Tap a few grains into your cover, swirl your brush of choice into the minerals, tap off excess to nestle the powders into the bristles, and apply, with a gentle touch to any area you wish to highlight. I use the pearly one in winter and the darker one when I want a tanned healthy look. Remember; always begin with light swirls as you can deepen the color with just a bit more pressure.

Eye Shadows:

Brush the lighter shade over your lids, and use a darker or contrasting shade in the crease to contour your lids. You can use either an eye shadow brush or your finger. You can apply the shadows dry or wet. For wet, put a few grains of the shadow into your cover, wet your brush and swirl into the mixture, and then apply to your lids for a more vibrant color. The shadows will look very different when applied wet or dry and you’ll get more use out of the product.

Eye Liner:

You can use a darker shade of shadow or choose our espresso and/or black eyeliner powder. Just tap a few grains into your cover, dip your brush in water, and apply at lash line. This application, once dry, will not smear, run, etc., and looks fabulous all day. Best of all you can use any of your eye shadow colors to do this. Just apply your shadow dry over the lid, wet the brush and there you have your matching, but more vibrant color, eye liner - two for the price of one!

Lip Color:

You can mix any of the mineral colors with your favorite lip gloss shade to enhance the color or apply the minerals directly to your lips and cover with a clear gloss. VIP - DO NOT USE BLUE COLORS ON THE LIPS.

Nail Color:

As above, you can apply any of the minerals directly to your nails and cover with a clear nail polish. You can match your shadow to your lip gloss and even your fingernails!
