Cascara Sagrada - Particularly suited for long term chronic constipation. Capsules consist of dried bark of the Rhamnus purshiana - mildly laxative, tonic to the digestive tract, useful in cases of spastic constipation. May be used over an extended period of time. Two capsules at bedtime is the usual dose for toning and strengthening a lazy bowel.*

Occasional use of two capsules of Cascara Sagrada combined with two capsules of Senna Leaf, should provide comfortable, overnight, relief of stubborn constipation. *

Senna Leaf - Suited to short term use in stubborn constipation. Senna is moderately laxative and should not be used over an extended period of time. To avoid cramping, suggested dose is to take two capsules of Senna Leaf, together with two capsules of Cascara Sagrada, at bedtime, with a full glass of water.
