Keep the bugs away — naturally

Bug Bane, a safe black fly and mos­quito repellant that really works, was a long time in the making,

A member of the American Naturopathic Medical Association, Mary Joan graduated from

Clayton College of Natural Health with a bachelor of science in natural health and a

doctor of natu­ropathy, but her education really began in her Portuguese grandmoth­er’s

kitchen decades ago. “Her home remedies worked 1ike magic, and I was hooked,”

says Mary Joan of her grandmother’s early influence. “She and Paul’s Sicil­ian Papa, well

versed in herbal pharmacopoeia, were the guiding forces behind our business.”

Maine Coast Herbals is a small, family-owned, business, located in the coastal town of Milbridge.

The products are hand formulated pri­marily from the organically grown herbs that are planted and

harvested by the Mondellos. The product line includes herbal teas, soaps, deodor­ants, tinctures,

Thank you soooo much! Yes, I really do want 8- does that give me a price break? Just

kidding! I have lots of kids and we keep them in the cars and strollers too! I also am

ordering a couple for a few of my girlfriends to try on their kids.... it drives me nuts

watching them douse their kids in DEET at the baseball field etc! I will try one of the

No See Um soap too.... I trust you on that one and believe me with the size of our

gardens it is a lot of buggy hours of work! Thanks again and I will look for it soon!

Hi Mary, just wanted to say thanks for the order and the shipping on the soap. I love your products. I wanted to let you know that I have been using the no see um soap and between that and the bug spray, it really works. The other night I didn't have the spray on and I got some mosquito bites. I sprayed them with the bug spray when I came in and it relieved the itch. By the next day, they were almost gone. It seemed to neutralize them. Just wanted to let you know.
